Shree Sanatan Dharam Sabha (Regd.) located in Chembur was founded in the year 1952. It was a result of the effort made by members of dedicated personalities and social workers. The main aim of Shree Sanatan Dharam Sabha was spiritual upliftment, spread of education and cultural values. For this purpose the construction of temple and a School were undertaken unanimously after much thought and deliberation. By 1975, the school complex was almost ready with a hall in the basement, and six classrooms on the ground floor. A special mention must be made at this point about the dedicated personalities and able social workers who pooled in all their resources in terms of finance and manpower. The managing committee of the Shree Sanatan Dharam Education Society invited the late Shri. Hashu Advani as Chief Guest at their Committee Meeting. On the recommendations of this dedicated educationist Shree Sanatan Dharam Education Society was registered. We Shree Sanatan Dharam Vidyalaya & Jr. College under the aegis of Shree Sanatan Dharam Education Society impart education from Junior K.G to Std. XII. We have Pre-Primary, Primary, Secondary (English & Hindi), and Jr. College (Commerce & Science) with 3,236 students strength. Our institution has successfully completed 48 years. Our past Managing Committee Members left no stone unturned in developing the institute to reach this height. Nearly 90% of our student are excelling in their academic and non-academic activities. We are amongst the few meritorious institutions in M (West) ward and have been consistently winning Best School Awards for the past 13 years. Junior College was started in 1998 with 130 students now there are 10 divisions with strength of 800 students. The computer lab was setup in 1994 with just 4 computers and now we have fully equipped IT lab with 100 computers. Our institution was first to start IT subject for Jr. College in Chembur which was initiated by Honourable Secretary Shri Updesh Kumar Sharma Ji. Shree Sanatan Dharam Education Society has a beautiful and huge Mandir of Lord Ram and it was inaugurated by Swami Vishwanand ji in presence of late Deputy Chief Minister Gopinath Mumde ji along with all Committee Members. It was renovated under the guidance of Late President Lalchand Goyal ji on 11th Feb 1997.
